The citizens of the United States of America are going to the polls to elect a new president.
Both Democratic Party candidate, Kamala Harris and the Republican candidate, Donald Trump held their final rallies of the campaign on Monday.
At an earlier rally in North Carolina, Trump announced that he intends to place 25% tariffs on all Mexican imports if they "don't stop" migrants from crossing the border
Harris told a Pennsylvania crowd that "America is ready for a fresh start"
More than 81 million people have already voted in what polls suggest is a historically close election.
The polls continue to show Harris and Trump running neck and neck, both nationally and in most swing states.
Abortion, immigration, marijuana and voting rights are key issues on ballots across the United States.
The 2024 United States presidential election, the 60th quadrennial presidential election, is scheduled for Tuesday, November 5, 2024
