The Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) in Ebonyi has expelled the national vice-chairman of the party in the south-east, Ali Odefa, over alleged anti-party activities.
The acting chairperson of the PDP in Oguduokwor, Onicha local government area of Ebonyi state, Onyeka Ovuta, announced on Wednesday that Odefa has been expelled from the party.
Ovuta noted that the PDP executive committee in Oguduokwor ward, suspended Odefa in October, 2024.
Subsequently, a federal high court in the state upheld Odefa’s suspension as the national vice-chairman of the party in the south- east.
Ovuta said Odefa’s expulsion followed the recommendation of a disciplinary committee that affirmed the allegations of his anti- party activities.
