At least five persons were feared killed when a tanker ladened with petrol lost control and burst into flames on Sunday afternoon in Delta State.

The accident occurred near the Orogodo River along the old Lagos Asaba expressway, in Agbor Ika South Local Government Area of the state.

The police spokesperson in Delta, Bright Edafe said only two deaths were recorded so far.

Edafe said the fire also affected two other vehicles and buildings belonging to First Bank and Access Bank branches in the area.
