Manchester City's woes continued on Tuesday as they surrendered a three-goal lead to draw 3-3 with Feyenoord and make it six games without a win for Pep Guardiola's side.
Guardiola, enduring his worst run as a coach, seemed on course to see his side cruise to victory in this Champions League tie with three goals from Erling Haaland and Ilkay Gundogan.
But despite being down three goals in the 74th minute, the Dutch side were able to rally back to erase the deficit, thanks in part to some blatant defensive errors from the City backline.
Anis Hadj Moussa seized upon a defensive error by Josko Gvardiol to pull the first goal back on 75 minutes before substitute Santiago Gimenez converted from close range to set nerves jangling and David Hancko headed in the equaliser to leave City bereft.
Though the draw ended City’s five-game losing streak, it will feel like a defeat given the remarkable circumstances.
In some other champions league matches played last night, Arsenal picked up 5-1 win away at Sporting Lisbon, Sparta Prague fell 6-0 to Atletico Madrid at home, Barcelona won 3-0 against Brest, Bayern Leverkusen walloped RB Salzburg 5-0, Atlanta won 6-1 against Young Boys, AC Milan beat Slovan Bratislava 3-2, Inter Milan Pipped RB Leipzig 1-0 while Bayern Munich managed a 1-0 win over PSG.
