President Bola Tinubu has arrived in the Tanzanian capital, Dar es Salaam for the Africa Heads of State Energy Summit, which commences on January 27.
Tinubu landed in the East African country on Sunday evening and was welcomed by a cultural troupe and Tanzanian government officials.
The two-day summit, hosted by the Tanzanian government in collaboration with the African Union, the African Development Bank Group, and the World Bank Group, aims to accelerate efforts to provide electricity access to 300 million Africans by 2030.
The event’s first day will feature ministerial-level discussions, during which participating countries, including Nigeria, will present their national energy strategies, known as compacts.
