Super Eagles captain, William Troost-Ekong says the Eagles can expect a difficult test against the Cheetahs of Benin Republic.

The two neighbours will clash in a 2025 Africa Cup Nations qualifying tie at the Felix Houphet Boigny Stadium, Abidjan on Thursday.

The Super Eagles lost 2-1 to Gernot Rohr’s side the last time both countries met at the ground in the world cup qualifiers.

Speaking ahead of the match, Troost-Ekong said he is looking forward to another difficult contest against the Cheetahs.

He noted that the match against the Beninoise will not be easy, but insisted that they will focus on the positive result the Eagles took away from the familiar stadium during the last AFCON.

Meanwhile, the number of players in Super Eagles camp in Abidjan rose to 21 on Tuesday evening with the arrival of 10 more players.

Among the recent arrivals were Victor Boniface, Victor Osimhen, Troost-Ekong, Ola Aina, Calvin Bassey, Alhassan Yusuf, Bright Osayi- Samuel, Alex Iwobi, Victor Collins and Ademola Lookman.
